Greetings to all!  As the CEO of Butler County Children’s Center, I wanted to share the most recent news that involves and impacts the Agency.  Butler County Children’s Center is now Early Learning Connections.  While the name change may seem sudden, it was carefully considered, and a committee comprised of staff who represented the entire cross section of employees, parents, community members, board members and policy council met frequently to discuss options.  The name was chosen to reflect the broader spectrum of service provision, as well as the extension into a five county area.  Butler County Children’s Center has a long and successful history of proudly serving the communities of Butler.  The name truly reflected the services offered.  As the agency has grown and evolved, the name needed to be more indicative of the expanded footprint.  Butler County Children’s Center will always be part of the rich history of this agency.  We recognize that change is challenging, and we respect the legacy that Butler County Children’s Center has provided, but we’re confident that Early Learning Connections will allow the agency to forge ahead and truly represent the increased addition of services and territory.

Early Learning Connections will lead the script for the new name and each county will then be identified:

Early Learning Connections of Armstrong County

Early Learning Connections of Beaver County

Early Learning Connections of Butler County

Early Learning Connections of Indiana County

Early Learning Connections of Lawrence County

We are working on a plan that includes a series of notifications including:

Sharing this change with: Staff, Parents, Board Members, Policy Council, and the communities in the five county area.

Notification in each newspaper publication in the five county area

Media sharing including social media

Website and Email updates including a town meeting to video the announcement that will be available on the website

Changing of letterhead, business cards agency brochures etc.

Providing new signage and identification at physical sites within the five county region

The agency appreciates that each service and county has unique populations and needs.  We want to respond to those needs in the best way possible.  Early Learning Connections is leading the way to strengthen those communities through shared resources and connecting our environments.

Thank you.  My Best
