THREE EARLY
HEAD START OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE 1. Home-Based
Services (Free)
Weekly visits in
your home focusing on child development, safety, nutrition and
family goals
Playgroups twice
a month for parents and children to socialize and share
Assistance in
connecting with community resources when needed
Support for
parents in their role as the child’s first and most important
teacher
2. Center Based Early Head
Start Child Care
Eligible families are those
who are working or in training and meet income guidelines
Payments are based on income
guidelines
Located at the Bon Aire Site -
131 Homewood Drive.
Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Two monthly home visits
Playgroups twice a month for

3. Early Head Start In various Family Child
Care Homes (Free)
Weekly visits to Family Child Care Homes
throughout Butler County
Two monthly Home visits
Playgroups twice a month for parents and
children to socialize and share
ELIGIBILITY
Children under the age of 3 years old
OR
Pregnant women
Based on federal income guidelines
OR
Families receiving food stamps or
medical card assistance
At least 10% of enrollment will
include children with special needs
